Waimate boat users on Lake Aviemore and Lake Benmore will continue to have free use of boat ramps, but Waitaki users will still be charged between $50 and $80.
Waimate District Council parks manager Graeme Watts confirmed the use of ramps would remain free for at least another year.
Although Waitaki boat enthusiasts will still have to pay launching fees, those fees remain unchanged from last year.
Waitaki District Council property manager Dougall McIntyre said the council had received "quite a few responses" on the issue and it had been decided to maintain the status quo.
