Moeraki people appear to be increasingly frustrated over the closure of Haven St in the seaside township.
Land subsidence has closed the street and alternative access via Tenby St.
Waihemo Community board member and Moeraki resident Jane Carlyon told the board last week an unofficial survey had drawn 218 comments and signatures from Moeraki residents.
While Waitaki Mayor Gary Kircher agreed locals were frustrated, he said there was no easy solution.
He said a meeting would be held at Moeraki to inform people about the roading situation and the council would meet at the marae at Moeraki on November 24.
Council roading manager Michael Voss said the temporarily closed section of Haven St east of David St was starting to stabilise.
