One man is dead after being thrown from a 4WD after it rolled on an off-road track near Makarora, this afternoon.
Two others suffered minor injuries and were taken to the Wanaka Medical Centre.
A fourth person was not injured.
The crash occurred about 3.45pm off the Makarora-Lake Hawea Road,
An investigation would be launched by the serious crash unit.
