Two injured in crash near Clyde dam

Two people have been taken to Dunstan with injuries following a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of the northern end of Sunderland St and SH8, above the Clyde dam.

The collision occured about 1.50pm today and about six police, ambulance and fire units attended.

Traffic is closed in all directions but a police spokesman said one lane would be opened as soon as tow trucks arrived.

A police spokesman said four people were in the two vehicles. One had moderate injuries and three had "minor or nil injury".

No other details are available at this stage.
