Two people from Central Otago were airlifted to Dunedin Hospital following separate incidents yesterday morning.
A man was airlifted to hospital with moderate injuries after he fell from scaffolding near Alexandra.
A police spokeswoman said emergency services responded to the incident at a property in Fruitlands Rd at 9.15am.
The man was believed to be ''in his 60s''.
St John spokesman Gerard Campbell said the man was being airlifted to Dunedin Hospital at 10.37am in a ''moderate condition''.
Police later confirmed Worksafe NZ had been notified.
Another person was seriously injured in a quad bike accident near Wedderburn.
Police responded to a report from St John of a ''potential workplace incident'' at 9.50am.
A St John spokesman did not have any more information about the person or the incident.
