Police said significant damage occurred at the Tarbert St toilets sometime overnight on Friday, January 5 and at the Centennial Ave and Brandon St toilets overnight on Thursday, January 11.
"Anyone that saw suspicious activity around these toilets at the relevant times, or entered one of the facilities on those nights and has information that could assist police, is encouraged to get in touch."
It is not the first time damage to public toilets in Central Otago has garnered attention.
In December, Central Otago Mayor Tim Cadogan warned the "extreme" vandalism of public toilets in the region could result in uncomfortable consequences.
Mr Cadogan said at the time he had been advised of an "absolute upswing in vandalism" in some of region’s public toilets, with hand driers pulled off cubicle walls and smashed on to tile floors in toilets in both Alexandra and Cromwell.
If the damage continued, the council might need to consider closing the toilets at night, which could cause discomfort for those who travelled or worked through the night, he said.
