Passion for trashion

Recycled fashion delighted the crowd at the Trash into Fashion Trashion Show at Cromwell College Auditorium on Friday.

Combined winners in the Hat category were Goldfields School pupils Theo Emeny (10), Bianca McElhinney (10), and Beau Brown (10), all of Cromwell.

The Too Good to Waste category was won by Amy Delport of Alexandra, modelled by her daughter Olivia Delport.

Her mermaid outfit was created from shoe stuffers, plastic clothes bags and shoelaces.

The Anything Goes category was won by Brian Reed, modelled by Kali McDonald, both of Cromwell.

Mr Reed used milk bottles cut into daisies, fastened to a dress made from crushed barley animal feed sacks.

Best performance was won by Kali McDonald for Daisy the Cowgirl.

Linda Bullard, of Naseby, (pictured) designed and modelled her “Little wine dress”, winning the Wow Factor award for outstanding stage presence.

The audience were treated to a special surprise as members of the Cromwell A Netball team modelled some of the best costumes from previous shows.
