Albert Town residents may be able to get their mail delivered to letterboxes outside their homes by NZ Post in about a year's time, the Wanaka Community Board learned yesterday.
Board chairman Lyal Cocks said developer Infinity Group was conducting a major push to have Albert Town residents come off rural delivery and had been talking to NZ Post about the arrangements.
Most residents have their mail delivered to large banks of mailboxes located in certain streets, although some residents are able to have home delivery if vehicle access is possible.
