More than $16,000 was raised at the Bayley’s Cromwell charity golf day and auction held at the Cromwell Golf Club last Friday.

Bayley’s Cromwell agent Doug MacGillivray said he was happy they hit the fundraising target.

"We just have to thank everybody for their generosity and all the sponsors and all the people that paid and all the caterers, everybody worked together to make it a success."

Proceeds went to Cure Kids and the Cromwell Lions for their medical helipad project.

Twenty-nine teams hit the course for an 18-hole Stableford, with a sausage sizzle and drinks available throughout the day.

It was the team from Summit Drainage that won the event with an impressive score of 144.

After the golf there was a dinner and the auction and on offer were 1000 Airpoints, a tour of the Dunstan Cycle trail distiller Scapegrace’s products.
