From camellias to cars

A Centennial Ave, Alexandra, site that has been home to Mackies Garden Centre since 1985 has been bought by GWD Toyota.

GWD Toyota branch manager Grant Anderson said the initial plan would be to transfer used vehicles and grooming operations to the site.

As well as the former garden centre site, the company had bought an adjacent property and house on Brandon St, he said.

This house would be used as an office for the used vehicles operations, he said.
