Three people sought over pizza delivery man abduction

Police are looking for two women and a man in connection with what they describe as the "well planned" abduction of a pizza delivery man in east Auckland yesterday.

The 60-year-old man made a delivery to a house in Vincent St, Howick, about 3pm but none of the occupants knew anything about the order.

As he was leaving, three people approached him, took his wallet, the pizzas, and some cash before bundling him into the boot of his own car.

"They (the offenders) were waiting for him when he came out at the end of that driveway, so they'd certainly put some planning into it," Detective Senior Sergeant Mark Gutrie said.

The man, who is Italian and speaks little English, was released two hours later unharmed in the South Auckland suburb of Clendon.

"He's very shaken but able to talk to us and doesn't appear to be seriously injured," Mr Gutrie said.

A description of the offenders has yet to be released.
