Final person sentenced in abduction case

A 37-year-old woman extradited from Australia for her role in the abduction of a six-year-old Hamilton boy has been sentenced to community work.

Nicole Olive Rowe was sentenced today at Hamilton District Court to 400 hours' community work after earlier pleading guilty to one charge of abduction.

She is the sixth and final person to be convicted for the abduction of the boy from Hamilton central library in August, 2006.

He was kept in hiding for five months.
