At 86, Margaret still makes copious amounts of cheese rolls to give away to friends and local services.
Her pictured sidekick — Mr Buttons — proves she is a next-level knitter who creates many tiny teddies and toys for children which she gives away to Plunket and the hospital.
"When people smile and say ‘thank you’ — especially the brightening on the little ones’ faces — that’s worth a million dollars," Mrs Campbell said.
Well known by the town’s shop-keepers, Margaret darts around town on her scooter with a smile for everybody, and keeps her colourful garden bright for all to enjoy.
