A police spokeswoman said they were notified of the crash at 3.40pm.
The road was blocked, but was reopened about 5pm, the spokeswoman said.
A Fire and Emergency New Zealand spokesman said they dispatched crews from Lookout Point and St Kilda, who assisted with first aid until police and ambulance arrived.
