Families from the United States and Fiji, plus individuals from the United Kingdom, Ireland, Brazil, India and Sweden, were welcomed as newly sworn New Zealand citizens by Queenstown Lakes Mayor Vanessa van Uden (centre) on Wednesday in the last citizenship ceremony in the Queenstown council chambers for 2013.
The new citizens are (from left) Helen Barrowcliffe, of the UK, James Coyle, John Coyle and Andrea Coyle, all of the US, Amanda Grace, of the UK, Ryan Coyle (13) and Jamie Coyle (12), both of the US, Ricardo De Freitas Bullo, of Brazil, Ms Van Uden, Adarsh Chand (5), of New Zealand, with Andrew Chand, Hitisha Chand (11) and Neetu Chand, all of Fiji, Denise Cullen, of Ireland, Gray Campbell and Gray Smith, both of the US, Amanpreet Kaur, of India, and Trond Johansson, of Sweden.
