Project Hayes hearing to resume in Qtown

Queenstown was chosen as the next venue for the Project Hayes appeal hearing because of noise issues at previous locations in Alexandra and Cromwell, an Environment Court official says.

Environment Court regional manager Mike Tinkler. of Christchurch, said when approached by the Otago Daily Times all parties had been consulted and given the option of Dunedin or Queenstown when the hearing reconvened in January.

The general consensus was Queenstown.

The first week of reconvened hearings will begin on January 19.

The second round begins on February 9 and is expected to end on February 20.
