A man whose windscreen was smashed while he was at the Six60 concert did further damage to the car by laying in to it with his fists, police say.
Senior Sergeant Anthony Bond, of Dunedin, said officers received a call from the owner of a vehicle in George St about 11pm on Saturday night.
He returned from the Six60 concert to find his vehicle’s windscreen had been smashed.
Police said the owner had got upset and then punched the windscreen prior to their arrival, causing more damage.
Snr Sgt Bond said blood could be seen on the windscreen.
The man sustained cuts to both his wrists.
He did not want to make a formal complaint to police.
Snr Sgt Bond said it was "possible" the owner knew the perpetrators.
