Emergency services personnel respond to a collision between an out-of-service school bus and a ute in Brighton Rd, near Dunedin yesterday morning.
A St John spokesman said one person was taken to Dunedin Hospital in a serious condition after an ambulance and a rapid response vehicle were sent to the Westwood scene.
A police spokeswoman said the incident occurred just before 9am near the intersection with Jeffcoates Rd. The road was blocked for a short time.
Go Bus chief operating officer Nigel Piper said no passengers were on board at the time of the collision, as it was a school bus that had completed its morning school service.
