More than 160,000 high school pupils throughout the country were able to access their 2021 results yesterday, if they chose to, through the New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA) website.
After another educational year disrupted by Covid-19, Dunedin 18-year-olds Liberty Copson and Aria Ford-Squires were philosophical.
The former pupils of Bayfield High School said they were happy with their grades, overall.
There were some grades Liberty was pleased about and a few that could have been better.
Aria was "bummed" about a few, but that was balanced out by results she was pleased with.
Liberty is to study first-year health sciences at the University of Otago this year and Aria is starting a teaching degree there.
End-of-year NCEA and scholarship exams were delayed last year because of disruption from Covid-19 and flow-on effects from lockdowns.
Despite the two-week delay, NCEA results were available at the usual time.
"By 4.30pm, just over 67,000 students had logged in to check their results and share them with family and friends," NZQA assessment deputy chief executive Andrea Gray said.
Scholarship results are due next month.
