A team of four divers and coastguard personnel was seen searching on the Clutha River near the Clyde Bridge walking track yesterday morning.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police
Wayne Hammond has not been seen since Monday morning and both land and water-based searches have been unsuccessful.
Police have also called on the public to help them find Mr Hammond, saying they had concerns for his wellbeing.
They would also like to speak to anyone who was on the Clyde to Alexandra track between 7am and 9am on Sunday and who might have seen anything of interest.
A police spokeswoman said there were no updates yesterday.
The search continues today.
