Taranaki retaineed the Ranfurly Shield this evening with a 22-6 victory over Hawkes Bay.
The first haf was scoreless, and Hawkes Bay nudged ahead in the second before Taranaki cut loose, closing the game out at 22-6 before 8100 people at Yarrow Stadium in New Plymouth.
