Everything from crafts to curios will be for sale at Dunedin's first Stadium Market in October.
The Rotary Club of Dunedin Central and Dunedin Venues Management Ltd joint venture was first raised publicly in June and club member David Humphrey said the community had responded well.
People from as far afield as South and North Otago had expressed interest in having a stall at the market, which would run each Sunday.
"The number of inquiries we've had has exceeded our expectations," he said.
The first market will be held on October 14 and Mr Humphrey expects there will be about 70 stalls selling "just about anything you can think of", including art, antiques, clothing and collectables.
Free stalls will be available for school and charity groups for fundraising.
"We want to make this a community event, that's the focus. It's all set to go."
