Repechage day was a mixture of continuing on or ending the season for southern high school crews at the Maadi Cup at Lake Karapiro yesterday.
The Columba College under-18 pair Siena Snow and Caitlin O’Brien won their repechage to get through to the final.
Kate Spriggs, of Cromwell College, finished fourth in the under-16 singles sculls repechage to make it through to the next stage.
The Otago Boys’ High School under-18 coxed quad of Reuben Cook, Will Haley, Grayson Small and Alex McLachlan won its repechage to reach the A final.
The under-15 sculls team of Ryan Egan and Archie Chittock finished second in their repechage to progress.
Kaia Sheelly Wikio, of Otago Boys’, finished fourth in his under-18 single sculls to make the semifinals.
Otago Girls’ High School under-18 single sculler Holley Dodd won her repechage to make it through to the semifinals.
St Hilda’s Collegiate under-15 quad of Olivia Erasmus, Olivia Ollenshaw, Elsie Burnside and Jessica Broderick, along with cox Hannah Lawrence finished second to get through to the semifinal.
The quad then teamed up with Maggie Dowling, Ruby Flannery, Penni Hore and Anna Fulton to win the under-15 octuple repechage to get through to the final.
Christy Fulton finished second in the under-16 singles while Pippa Fulton was third in the under-17 singles. Both are from St Hilda’s Collegiate.
Wakatipu High School Keely Erskine and Abby Phillips finished third in the under-19 double sculls to make it through to the next round.
The Columba College under-18 novice coxed four of Jende Minty, Clair Wild, Aliexis Phipps, Sara Reynolds, with cox Tamzin Burgess, won their repechage to make the final.
