The pop-up aquarium was in the Lab in a Box facility at the Otago Museum Reserve, as part of Dunedin’s latest Dunedin International Science Festival.

It was staffed by marine educators Rob Lewis and Aless Smith from the University of Otago’s Marine Studies Centre, and the university’s ‘‘Aquavan’’ was also there.

The centre was operating again after the Covid-19 lockdown and offered a range of educational programmes for school and community groups, by arrangement, Mr Lewis said.
