Firefighters quickly extinguished a suspicious fire in a skip at Logan Park High School early today.
A Fire and Emergency New Zealand spokesman set the fire was blazing when Dunedin central firefighters arrived, after being alerted at 2.41am, and the matter had been reported to police.
There had been no damage to school property, he said.
