Columba top primary side

The Columba College team of Alexander Byars, Andrew Hughes, Callum White and Claudia Gallagher won the eighth annual Otago Primary Schools golf tournament in a seven-hole competition at the Belleknowes course yesterday.

Columba finished with 39 points and was followed by Balaclava 44 and Maori Hill 46.

The tournament was organised by the Golf Otago junior golf teacher Melanie Harper.

"We had a record number of 13 teams and 52 players participating in the Rotate tournament," she said.
