We're getting the band back together ... The Exponents (from left) Harry Harallambi, Dave Gent, Jordan Luck and Brian Jones bring their 30-year anniversary concert tour to the Queenstown Memorial Hall on March 13. Photo supplied.
A trio of accomplished composers, singers and musicians celebrate their shared tribal ancestry with a fusion of ancient stories of Aotearoa, modern arrangements and lush harmonies in a Queenstown art gallery on Sunday.

Voices of Our Ancestors features performers Ariana Tikao, Christine White and Mahina-Ina Kaui in the Mountfort Gallery on Earl St at 5pm. Entry costs $10.

THE band behind many of the hits in New Zealand's rock music DNA announced this week a national tour to celebrate its 30-year anniversary, which takes in Queenstown on March 13.

The Exponents were behind such Kiwi classics as Why Does Love Do This To Me, Who Loves Who The Most, Victoria, I'll Say Goodbye (Even Though I'm Blue) and Whatever Happened to Tracey.

The award-winning quartet, including former Arrowtown resident Dave Gent, launch their 28-date tour in March off the back of the release of their greatest hits album this month.

Frontman Jordan Luck said in a statement he could not wait to get on the road and visit some of his favourite haunts with the band.

"A 30th anniversary tour? I never saw that coming. From happy adversity to sublime celebration, I'm just pleased we're alive.

"We have always been in touch. Me, David and Brian [Jones] just celebrated our 50th birthdays together, so being 30 years old seems like being a pup.

"The songs, however, seem like they were written today, or at least in the last week. That is the way I imagine we will play them, too."

Tickets are on sale from Monday, November 21. Tickets for the Queenstown Memorial Hall gig will be available on Ticketek where pre-sale tickets were priced at $60.50.
