Duntroon children encourage riders in the Danseys Pass trail ride on Saturday to go through a puddle and spray them with water.
"This one, this one," they shouted as trail riders went through, pointing to the puddle just over the fence where they lined up, getting covered in mud.
They were having as much fun as the more than 850 riders on the annual event.
The trail ride is the biggest annual fundraiser for Duntroon School, with on average $35,000 coming in each year to improve facilities and equipment for its 75 pupils.
Trail convener Steve Fielding said the proceeds from this year's trail, the 12th, will be used to provide a shade area at the school pool, upgrade existing toilets, improve playground equipment, buy computer equipment and support pupils' activities such as the school camp.
