Break-in at Oamaru doctor's practice

Controlled drugs may have been targeted by thieves after an Oamaru doctor's office was broken into overnight, police believe.

Police are investigating the alleged burglary after staff contacted police when they arrived at the central Oamaru practice this morning.

A police spokeswoman could not yet say whether any controlled drugs had been taken, but it was believed that was the target.

A forensic examination had been completed.

 

Police inquiries were continuing.
