Eastern Harbour beat Balmacewen 2-1 in the final to take the Dunedin premier women's interclub title on Tuesday night.
The final had been held over because players from both teams were involved in the national secondary schools' finals in Albany.
Georgia Hume (Eastern Harbour) continued her strong recent form from the national event beating Brittany Wong 6-3, 6-2.
Hume started the season ranked below Wong, and showed why she recently claimed the title for the most improved in Dunedin tennis.
Jessie Stevenson (Balmacewen), also involved with the St Hilda's team last week, squared the tie by beating Debbie Cartwright by the same score.
However, Harbour dominated the all-important doubles, winning 6-4, 6-1. Cartwright showed all season that the doubles game was her strength, and she was able to provide effective support for Hume with her ability to play at the net.
Wong and Stevenson were solid from the baseline but fell away in the second set to allow Harbour to add the women's title to the men's it had won earlier.
