Injured paraglider awaiting surgery

Injured paraglider Simon Moses (40), of Albert Town, remains in Dunedin Hospital's ward 3C and was yesterday "awaiting surgery", a patient affairs spokeswoman said yesterday.

Mr Moses is understood to have received spinal, pelvic and ankle injuries following a heavy landing shortly after taking off from Pub Corner on the Treble Cone skifield access road on Wednesday.

No further details of his condition have been made available.
