Mackenzie Hearing owner and audiologist Melanie Mackenzie departed for the Cook Islands this week.
There she would be providing a wide range of hearing services to people with little to no access to audiological care, a New Zealand Hearing spokesperson said.
She and two colleagues will spend a week in the Cook Islands where they will see hundreds of patients.
They will be testing hearing, identifying candidates for surgery, and fitting hearing aids donated by New Zealanders.
The annual outreach programme has been going for more than a decade through New Zealand Hearing, a group of independent audiology clinics.
