Queenstown's Memorial Hall would be taken over by the organisers for the duration of the festival and transformed into the resort's glitziest venue, Queenstown JazzFest Trust chairman Luke Baldock said.
The four big-ticketed events would showcase the cream of the festival crop, he said.
Glamorous divas and gleaming brass bands were set to put on a series of show-stopping concerts each night over Labour Weekend.
The opening gala on October 21 would feature a tribute to "Queenstown's first lady of song", Margaret O'Hanlon, he said.
The following night would bring New Zealand vocalist Erna Ferry to the stage, performing the songs of Peggy Lee, followed by heavyweights Bill Cunliffe, Bob Sheppard and the Rodger Fox Big Band bringing a knock-out Big Band Concert.
On October 23, singer Kiri Winders and her 1940 Jazz Club would steal the spotlight and take hip swingers on a trip down memory lane, Mr Baldock said.
"Each night at the ASB Jazz Club will be a roof-lifting sensational evening of entertainment.
"We are thrilled to welcome Bill Cunliffe back from the US after his outstanding performance here in 2007.
"Bill, joined by compatriot Bob Sheppard and New Zealand's very own Rodger Fox, is likely to make the Big Band Concert one of the big highlights of the festival."
Mr Baldock said advance bookings were strongly recommended. Seating was limited for each act.
The 32nd annual JazzFest would bring more than 50 bands and 150 performers - both national and international - to the resort for the five-day festival.
Full details of all ticketed concerts and free gigs were available in the ASB Queenstown JazzFest programme, which was available at ASB branches in Queenstown and Remarkables Park.
