Fulton Hogan heavy haulage assistant manager Mark Sadgrove said the section of house was shifted about 30km yesterday, via an indirect route, to avoid power lines in central Mosgiel, and in a two-stage process, from Waironga Rd, in North Taieri, to the company’s yard at Fairfield, arriving at 10.15am.
The operation began at 2.30am. The house would be reassembled, including another section of it which had been shifted to the yard about two weeks ago, before being sold by the company, he said.
