Police have serious concerns for a Wanganui woman missing for 10 days.
Police will today resume their search 45-year-old Marice Jane McGregor, also known as Katrina, who went missing in mysterious circumstances.
Ms McGregor was reported missing by a relative on Wednesday.
She was last seen by a bus driver on State Highway 4, north of Wanganui, in her red Suzuki station wagon, on April 19.
The bus driver again saw her car later that day by a cluster of pine trees on Old Parapara Rd, 17km north of Wanganui.
He assumed it had broken down, but contacted police after seeing the car again on Wednesday.
Ms McGregor had arranged to meet a woman friend for coffee on the day she was last seen, but never showed up, Wanganui area commander Inspector Duncan MacLeod said.
"The length of time she appears to have been missing gives us serious concerns for Ms McGregor's welfare."
A police helicopter and dive squad searched for the woman yesterday.
A land search will start today at 2pm.
Ms McGregor was described as a 163cm tall European of solid build with brown hair. It was not known what she was wearing.
She lived alone in Wanganui and had family and friends in the area, but did not communicate with people easily, Mr MacLeod said.
