An 18-year-old man accused of murdering a man after a party in Taumarunui a week ago has again appeared in court and can now be named.
John-Humphrey Evans-Whatarangi is charged with killing 56-year-old Simon Conrad, who was found dead in a flat in Para Street around 7am on Saturday, November 16.
Police believe an altercation took place at the flat the night before.
Evans-Whatarangi appeared in Hamilton District Court this morning and was remanded in custody for a pre-depositions hearing in February.
