A 24-year-old woman appeared in court today charged with common assault in connection with a fatal stabbing in the upmarket Auckland suburb of Remuera on Friday night.
Both the accused and the deceased have been granted interim name suppression to protect their identities.
The accused appeared in Auckland District Court today, where her lawyer John Anderson asked for an adjournment of two weeks.
Judge Mark Perkins remanded her in custody until April 12, when a mental health assessment on her fitness to plead would be made available.
