A 19-year-old woman remains in intensive care in Dunedin Hospital more than three weeks after a Kawarau River crash that claimed the lives of two Queenstown men.
Emma Eckhold, of Invercargill, was on a jet ski that collided with a jet boat on January 5. Her condition is still listed as serious.
Jet boat driver Brett Singleton and passenger Anton Woitasek died in the smash. Both the police and Maritime New Zealand are investigating the accident.
It has been been confirmed that one craft was travelling on the wrong side of the river.
Detective Sergeant Grahme Bartlett, of Queenstown police, said statements were still being taken from people who police had not been able to talk to until now.
