A blanket suppression order continues to cover two days of pre-trial hearings over the upcoming trial of Liam James Reid for the murder of Emma Agnew.
A series of applications was put to Justice Lester Chisholm in the High Court at Christchurch on Wednesday and again today, and he delivered his decisions this afternoon.
Pre-trial hearings are often covered by suppression orders so that the submissions will not affect the eventual trial.
In this case, the nature of the applications cannot be reported, nor can the judge's rulings.
The four-week trial on the charge of murdering Miss Agnew, a deaf woman, is due to begin on October 6. Miss Agnew's body was found beneath bushes near Spencer Park 11 days after her disappearance last November.
