One person is dead and several people are injured after a crash near Bunnythorpe in Manawatū.
Emergency services were called to the two-vehicle crash on Ashhurst Rd about 2.15pm yesterday.
Stuff reports that both vehicles rolled off the road.
One person was killed and four others had injuries ranging from critical to serious, and were taken to hospital.
The incident brought the unconfirmed holiday road toll to 10.
The Serious Crash Unit had examined the scene and investigations were continuing.
Police called for anyone who saw a dark-coloured Ford Ranger and a Toyota Yaris in the Bunnythorpe area from 2pm yesterday to contact them.
