A Lower Hutt man was given interim name suppression when he appeared in court today charged with assaulting a 10-week-old baby.
The 28-year-old man was remanded on bail until February 9, when he appeared in Lower Hutt District Court.
The baby is in a stable but critical condition at Starship Hospital, with bruising and head injuries, which he suffered early on Sunday morning.
