In the lead up to the first anniversary of March 15, 59-year-old Christchurch taxi driver Mohammad Shamim Siddiqui (Sam) shares his story after being shot outside Al Noor mosque while talking to his wife on the phone.
The self employed taxi driver is the sole breadwinner for his family but has been unable to work since the shooting.
His wife and children were at his side when they met the prime minister recently. He speaks about what the meeting meant to him and the family.
