One man died and another motorist was injured in a crash in West Canterbury last night.
Emergency services were called just before 5.30pm to the two-car collision on State Highway 73 near West Melton.
A 57-year-old man died at the scene and another person sustained moderate injuries, an ambulance communications spokesman said.
