A woman sustained serious injuries when her car became trapped between two trucks in Christchurch this morning.
Police said the female driver and the truck in front of her were stationary at a roundabout on QEII Drive about 7.50am.
"The second truck has come in and pushed the car into the truck in front," a spokesman said.
Police said the car "became trapped" between the trucks.
The woman, who was the sole occupant of the car, was taken to hospital with serious injuries and the driver of one of the trucks was hospitalised with moderate injuries.
Police are investigating the crash but say there is no indication it was caused by wet weather.
"However we are urging drivers to drive to the conditions," the spokesman said.
Part of QEII Drive is expected to be closed between Marshland Rd and Burwood Rd until later this morning.
