A 27-year-old man appeared in court this morning charged with the murder of missing Christchurch teenager Hayden Miles.
The unemployed man appeared before a judge at a Christchurch District Court session at the city's men's prison.
He was granted interim name suppression by Judge Raoul Neave and remanded in custody without plea until December 22 for legal aid.
The charge alleges that he murdered Hayden Peter Miles on August 22, the last time that the 16-year-old was seen alive.
Two others have been charged in relation to the teen's disappearance and will appear in private before a judge at a district court session at Christchurch Police central police station watch house today.
An 18-year-old female has been charged with being an accessory after the fact, while a 35-year-old male has been charged with robbery in relation to an incident also on August 22.
Today, police are continuing to search for Hayden's body.
Detective Senior Sergeant Tony Hill revealed yesterday that police are currently conducting a scene examination at the Ruru Lawn Cemetery in Linwood.
The cemetery is near to the property at 612 Cashel St, Linwood, where Hayden was last seen and which has been subject to a thorough forensic examination over the last 10 days.
