A 31-year-old man has been charged with stabbing another man in the west Auckland suburb of Massey overnight.
The unemployed man appeared in Waitakere District Court this afternoon charged with assault following the stabbing at an address in Holmes Drive, Massey, about midnight.
The charges were laid after a 20-year-old man was found with serious stomach wounds after being stabbed twice with a knife.
He remains in a critical condition in Auckland Hospital.
The accused man was remanded in custody. Police said further charges were possible.
