A prominent comedian who has admitted an indecency charge against a young girl will have to wait another month to be sentenced.
The man, whose name is suppressed, pleaded guilty in March to a charge of performing an indecent act on a child.
The plea, entered on the morning of his scheduled trial, was to a lesser offence than he was initially charged with.
He was due for sentencing in Auckland District Court today but this was put off until June 24 as the court required further factual and legal material to be placed before it before sentencing could occur.
Judge Philippa Cunningham suppressed all other details of discussions held this morning.
His bail was revoked and he was remanded at large.
The man was arrested in December 2009.
