Convicted sex offender Stewart Murray Wilson, known as the Beast of Blenheim, will be released from prison and kept under strict supervision until at least 2025.

The High Court today ruled Wilson's strict parole conditions, which would normally expire on September, 1, 2015, would be extended for the maximum term available of 10 years.

Wilson will be released on September 1 after serving more than 15 years for sex offences, including against young girls.

His parole conditions were for three years but in submissions made to the High Court last week, authorities said they feared he would offend again.

Justice Graham Lang said there was a high likelihood Wilson would prey again on young girls if he did not accept treatment for his problems.

He said Wilson's previous offending "demonstrates that he has ingrained psychopathic traits and a continued tendency to act in a sexually deviant manner".

"Mr Wilson refuses to acknowledge any wrongdoing and also refuses any treatment."

Justice Lang described Wilson's as a "rare and special case".

The 10-year extension to Wilson's parole is the maximum a court can order.
