Auckland murder accused's name still suppressed

A man reappeared in Auckland District Court today charged with the murder of a 48-year-old Thai woman whose body was found in the Auckland suburb of Western Springs on May 12.

The accused, a 47-year-old computer programmer, was granted continued name suppression, but his alleged victim was revealed as Nuttider Vaikaen.

Her body was found at a house in Warwick Street in Western Springs, west of the city centre.

Police said she appeared to have been dead for some weeks.
