Queen's High School aerobics team members Annelise Lowther and Rosa Sangster won gold medals in the year 11-13 senior open category and the year 11-13 senior novice category respectively, while Mahalia Finnie won bronze in the senior novice category.
Annelise was also awarded the inaugural Tanya Houpt Trophy for overall technical excellence in the competition.
Macandrew Intermediate's Mac 2 hip hop team added to the school's reputation as one of the top hip hop teams in New Zealand by winning silver medals in the intermediate hip hop category.
Two years ago, the school's M-Slaks team won the event.
King's and Queen's High Schools' Spacifik 6 hip hop team took fourth place in the extremely competitive secondary school category.
However, team coach Helen Lowther said they did not leave empty-handed.
"Their routine was quite different from everyone else's, and it caught the judges' attention."
The team was awarded a certificate for innovative choreography, she said.
Annelise has begun putting together an aerobics team to compete in the world championships in Australia next year.
